Jonathan Henderson is an internationally recognised Australian flautist who is adept in the role of orchestral principal, concerto soloist and chamber musician.
Jonathan was appointed Principal Flute of the Estonian National Opera Orchestra in 2012 at the age of 24 and has had orchestral engagements and recitals in concert halls and opera houses across Australia and throughout Europe; in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, and England. He has performed at prestigious music festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, Audi Sommerkonzerte and BBC Proms.
As soloist, Henderson is equally at home with the baroque concerti of Vivaldi and C.P.E. Bach through to newly commissioned work. In 2017 he gave the world premiere of a new flute concerto written for him by australian composer Lisa Cheney, commissioned by the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra. Further concerto highlights include solo performances with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (2015, Risto Joost) and Estonian National Opera Orchestra (2013, Mihail Gertz). He has been a guest artist with Australia's Southern Cross Soloists and will debut in 2019 as guest artist with the Omega Ensemble.
Born in Newcastle in 1987, Jonathan completed his early musical training at the Queensland Conservatorium, followed by further performance studies at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg (Germany) and the Haute École de Musique Geneva (Switzerland). His principal teachers have included Gerhard Mallon and Sally Walker (Australia), Felix Renggli (Germany) and Jacques Zoon (Switzerland).

Emily began playing the harp at age 11 in Missouri. She has performed across the world including as Principal Harp the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, SSO, TSO, Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Orchestra Victoria and Opera Australia..
Emily is a founding member of the Chicago Harp Quartet. The quartet continues to commission, record and perform works for harp quartet across the USA and abroad. CHQ has released two albums to great acclaim.
Emily has performed at a wide range of festivals in both the USA and Australia. She has collaborated and performed with Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming, Jonas Kaufmann, Janelle Monáe, Sarah Blasko, Diesel, International Chamber Artists, Flinders String Quartet and Nexas Saxophone Quartet.
Emily has also taught, presented masterclasses and had educational residencies at various US universities. She earned her Bachelor of Music from Indiana University and her Masters of Music from the Chicago College of the Performing Arts.
As an avid hiker, Granger successfully walked the Te Araroa - a 3,000-kilometer trail across New Zealand taking 138 days to complete the journey from Cape Reinga to Bluff. In addition, Emily has walked across Spain on the Camino de Santiago (900-kilometers) in January 2018 as well as a through hike of California's John Muir Trail (400-kilometers), climbed 14 of Colorado's highest mountains in one week and Australia's 15 highest mountains.
Caroline Hopson is a freelance violinist based in Sydney, and performs regularly with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia Orchestra, Australian Haydn Ensemble, Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
As a chamber musician, Caroline has participated in the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy, Royal Northern College of Music International Chamber Music Festival, Huntingdon Estate, Sanguine Estate, Bangalow, Brisbane Baroque, Coramba and 4MBS Sibelius Music Festivals. During her time at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), Caroline shared the stage and coached with musicians such as Anthony Marwood, Aleksandar Madžar, Johannes Moser, Trio Dali and the Brodsky Quartet.
Caroline studied with Levon Chilingirian as a scholarship student at the Royal Northern College of Music, during which she performed regularly with the Manchester Camerata.
Most recently, Caroline attained her Master of Philosophy at the University of Queensland under the tutelage of Adam Chalabi, with whom she also studied at ANAM.
Julian Thompson is one of the most versatile cellists of his generation. For the last 14 years Julian has toured Australia and the world with the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO), regularly performing in the world’s most prestigious concert halls and he appears on many of the ACO’s recordings. Julian is in much demand as a recording artist and his solo cello performances can be heard in films such as Sherpa (2015), Tanna (2015). Most recently Julian recorded the solo cello Yidaki parts on the ground breaking Gurrumul album Djarimirri, which was the first recording in an indigenous language to reach No. 1 on the ARIA charts and also won the Best World Music Album ARIA. In 1999 Julian won the Best World Music Album ARIA for Fyvie’s Embrace.
Julian is a Fulbright Scholar and completed a Master of Music Degree in the USA with Janos Starker and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi. He also studied at the ANU with Lois Simpson and David Pereira and at ANAM. Julian was the ACO’s Education Representative for 7 years and was deeply involved in the creation and development of the ACO’s extensive education programs. Julian performs regularly with other orchestras such as the Australian World Orchestra & the SSO.
Julian is the custodian of a beautiful 1729 Guarneri cello, generously gifted to the ACO by Peter Weiss.
Ike See has been a core member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra since 2013. A three-time first prize winner at the Singapore National Violin Competition, Ike has performed as soloist with the ACO, Adelaide Symphony, Singapore Symphony and Singapore National Youth Orchestras.
Ike began his musical life in Singapore, studying with Sylvia Khoo from the age of four and later with Qian Zhou, Head of Strings at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. In 2006, he was accepted into the Curtis Institute of Music under the tutelage of renowned violinists Joseph Silverstein and Pamela Frank, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Music.
Ike has appeared at numerous festivals including the Australian, Amelia Island, and Singapore Chamber Music Festivals, Kirishima International Music Festival and Singapore Arts Festival.
In 2011, he was invited to perform chamber music across Europe as part of Curtis on Tour, collaborating with his peers and distinguished faculty members.
Possessing a passion for collective music-making, Ike has led numerous ensembles and orchestras, previously holding the position of Associate Concertmaster of the Adelaide
Symphony Orchestra. He studied chamber music with members of the Guarneri, Orion and Vermeer Quartets, and has shared the stage with musicians such as James Dunham,
Nathan Greentree took up the viola in 2012, having previously studied the violin. In 2015, he completed his Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of SSO Principal Violist, Roger Benedict.
In 2016, Nathan was the first person to be selected into both the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s Emerging Artist and Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Fellowship programs in the same year. As a result, he was fortunate to tour and perform alongside such incredible musicians as Pekka Kuusisto, Meta4 string quartet, James Ehnes and members of the ACO and SSO. A particular highlight of his year was the opportunity to perform the Mendelssohn Octet alongside Pinchas Zukerman at the Sydney Opera House. From 2012-2015, Nathan was a member of the Sydney Symphony Sinfonia and in 2014, he also performed as a guest musician with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Nathan really enjoys playing chamber music. He is the violist in the Musica Intima Ensemble, a quartet that aims to perform a broad range of classical repertoire to all sorts of audiences in small salon style venues. Since 2017, Nathan has performed with the Brisbane based group, Ensemble Q.
Nathan regularly appears as a guest musician with the ACO and SSO. In November & December 2018, he has been invited to perform as Assistant Principal Viola with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.
Heather Lindsay
Lindsay is a Sydney based freelance cellist and regularly performs with the Opera Australia Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Heather completed her Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2005, studying under Julian Smiles, cellist of the Goldner String Quartet and Susan Blake. She was a founding member of the Greenway String Quartet with whom she performed in China, Austria, Germany and the UK, as well as extensively around Australia. The quartet were finalists in the 2005 Asia Pacific Chamber Music Competition and travelled to Graz, Austria and Beijing, China for festival performances. In 2006 the Greenway String Quartet were awarded the Henderson Scholarship which allowed them to study a Masters of Music Performance together at both the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, Germany and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK. Individually, Heather has performed at festivals such as the Four Winds Festival in Bermagui NSW and the Lake District Summer Music Festival in the UK.
In 2013, Heather was awarded a contract position with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. Since returning to Sydney Heather has been enjoying performing full time with the Opera Australia Orchestra.
Jacqui Cronin
Jacqui graduated from the Canberra School of Music with a Bachelor of Music with a Bachelor of Music with High Distinction in 1998 after studies with Vincent Edwards. In 1999 and 2000, Jacqui held full scholarships at the Australian National Academy of Music, studying with various Australian and international violists. In 2002 Jacqui graduated with a Masters of Music Performance from the University of Melbourne, having studied with Katherine Brockman and Fiona Sargent. Jacqui was also a recipient of the Ian Potter Foundation which helped fund a study tour in Europe in 2007.
Jacqui has freelanced with ensembles and orchestras including the Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria. Jacqui has been active as a chamber musician performing regularly with the Sydney Omega Ensemble and is a member of the Sonus Piano Quartet.
